Lee Jones and 2050Sports.com


Lee Johnson is project managing a solo show for Artist Lee Jones in the Mayor of London's 'East' festival in the East End of London between 5-10 March 2009. Jones will exhibit a series of specially commissioned Pop Art boxing paintings of stars such as James Degale and Amir Khan, alongside his 'Beyond Human' series of elite athletes.

Lee is also curating, project managing and promoting a solo exhibition for Lee Jones at The Arts Club in London’s Mayfair from 3-7 April 2009. The 'Beyond Human' series will be exhibited in this 2050 Sports.com exhibition.

‘Beyond Human’ is a series of paintings portraying elite athletes as superhuman beings, with the most finely tuned parts of the body morphing into Terminator-esque limbs. Athletes painted by Jones for the series include; Sir Chris Hoy, Victoria Pendleton, Usain Bolt, Steven Gerrard, Ricky Hatton, Daniel Ilabaca and Christine Ohuruogu. Prints of each painting signed by the athlete and the artist are available on 2050Sports.com with a percentage of proceeds going to the charities of the sportstar. Alison Jackson 'Theatre Luminaries' private view at The Ivy Club

A Private View of Alison Jackson's 'Theatre Luminaries' photographs was organised by Lee Johnson at The Ivy Club in London on 29 October 2008. Artist Alison Jackson photographed an incredible collection of 21st century icons of theatre-land for the new J. Sheekey Oyster bar in London. Guests at the private view included subjects of the photographs such as Jeremy Northam, Toby Jones, Ken Stott, John Standing, Miranda Richardson, Lindsay Duncan and Diana Quick. Rising stars such as young Actor Eddie Redmayne of Atonement fame and Chris Obi also attended along with ex-Bond villain Toby Stephens.

Sacha Newley's Catto Gallery exhibition at The Arts Club

In July 2008 Lee project managed a solo exhibition of paintings and drawings by New York-based artist Sacha Newley. This was an off-site Catto Gallery exhibition at The Arts Club in Mayfair. Lee managed a high profile media campaign, and the exhibition was covered by a wide range of publications including The Times, Telegraph Magazine, Spectator, Hello!, Evening Standard, Art of England, Artists & Illustrators, Daily Mail, The Guardian, Daily Telegraph, Mail on Sunday and The Mayfair Times. Alison Jackson 'Seeing is Deceiving' at Hamiltons Gallery

Lee Project Managed a solo exhibition for Alison Jackson at Hamiltons Gallery in London in April 2008 and implemented a successful media campaign. The private view and after-party were covered by ES Magazine and the exhibition received widespread press coverage.
